Cal Fire San Luis Obisporeceived a new Mobile Kitchen Support Vehicle Wednesday.
The new trailer is 52 ft long and will replace a 42 ft trailer from 1964. It will support the kitchen unit where inmate firefighters cook meals. According to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Public Information Officer, Adan Orozco, the new unit couldn't come at a better time with fire season lasting much longer these days which require larger crews. They need the right equipment to feed the firefighters. This unit is one of 8 in California.
