Cal Poly's new dining complex is open with seven different dining venues and a neighborhood market.
The $39 million Vista Grande Dining Complex is located within steps of student housing.
The 35,400 square foot building is designed to be energy efficient.
It has large seating areas, outdoor fireplaces, and game tables.
Because of the pandemic, indoor dining is no longer allowed. Instead, the campus will have socially distanced outdoor dining.
"So the one thing you'll see here at Vista Grande that you wont see anywhere else is we have seven kitchens on our second floor and everything is actually made right in front of you, so you have chefs preparing your meals as you order right in front of you," explained Executive Chef Rensford Abrigo.
Students are told to use the Grubhub mobile app to order food.
