Emergency crews at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center Performed training with their CALSTAR medical helicopters Wednesday.
Emergency department staff and EMS agencies trained on flying the helicopter Wednesday morning.
According to a press release, these trainings are significant because Sierra Vista REgional Medical Center is the only trauma center in San Luis Obispo County.
Hospital officials say this type of training is always a collaborative effort with agencies within the community to ensure full readiness for any emergency that occurs in the county.
