Two people were sent to the hospital after a car crash in Cambria.
It happened just after 9:30 Monday morning on Highway 1.
The CHP says 63-year-old Jeffrey LaChance was heading west on Weymouth Street in a Ford Transit van approaching the intersection of Highway 1. Officers say LaChance came to a stop at the posted stop sign, but didn't see 35-year-old Rafael Garcia in his Freightliner MT45.
CHP says LaChance pulled across the northbound lane of Highway 1 and directly into the path of Garcia.
The front end of the Freightliner delivery truck hit the side of the Ford Transit.
The Ford Transit overturned and snapped a wooden power pole in half. LaChance was extricated and taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. Garcia took himself to the hospital.
Highway 1 was blocked by the downed power line for nearly one hour before PG&E was able to cut the downed line.
CHP says alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been factors in this crash.
