Santa Maria police are looking for a driver of a car that crashed into a utility box Sunday night.
Santa Maria firefighters and police officers responded to the crash scene on the 2200 block of S. Thornburg St., just off of Betteravia Rd.
Officials say the driver took off after colliding into an electrical vault and sparking a fire.
PG&E was called to the scene to secure power, according to authorities.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area overnight.
