A San Luis Obispo County sandwich shop is offering free sandwiches to some this Veterans Day.
Mr. Pickles says the offer is for not only veterans but also active duty service members.
Mr. Pickles has locations in San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Templeton and Paso Robles.
Other local businesses offering free items on Veterans Day include Doc Burnstein's, which is scooping up free cones to veterans and active duty service members, and the A Street Café in Santa Maria, which offered free meals to veterans earlier in the day.
At Red Lobster in Santa Maria, veterans can enjoy a free appetizer or dessert. A valid military ID or proof of service will be required.
Hometown Buffet in Santa Maria is also offering a free meal to those who have or are serving and at Tahoe Joe's in San Luis Obispo, veteran's can get a 6 oz. steak and two sides.
