Central Coast company shifts to deep cleaning services to help businesses during pandemic

A Central Coast company is providing deep cleaning services to help businesses as they prepare to re-open safely during the pandemic.

Daniel Hernandez has owned his business for nine years. When he first started out, his main focus was auto detailing but when the pandemic, hit he realized his services could help people going through the stress of COVID-19.

"We started doing home calls from people that got sick with COVID-19 and after they recovered, they gave us a call to sanitize their homes," Hernandez said.

Soon after that, many other places like local preschools and churches started contacting him.

Casa Dei Bambini preschool has been working with Hernandez since they re-opened this June.

"The most important thing for us at the school is to keep the children safe so we do have a dedicated staff that cleans every day all day long plus we have Dan come in a few times a week and clean at night doing the extra-high heat steam cleaning," said preschool owner Elizabeth Dawson.

Hernandez says the high heat steam cleaning helps kill the virus.

"So the steamer that we use, it's one of the strongest steamers right now in the business, 300 degrees Fahrenheit, which I mean, it's pretty much like double of what deactivates COVID," Hernandez said.

Bethel Lutheran Church in Santa Maria says although they are not opening anytime soon, these types of services are critical in a time like this.

"Our goal is to get people back in the house of worship where they feel comfortable again and I think this is something we have to do to make them feel comfortable," said council president Caren Campbell.

A few other services include:

  • Hot water pressure washing
  • Interior/exterior paint and maintenance
  • Gutter cleaning
  • Elastomeric roof coating
