Community members are continuing to find ways to support law enforcement officers injured during anactive shooter situation in Paso Robles.

The Central Coast Long Range Shooters will be hosting an all day shooting event October 10th at the San Luis Obispo Sportsman Association (SLOSA) Gun Range to raise money for the family of officers shot on the job while searching for gunman Mason Lira in June.

The shooting range is located at 3270 Gilardi Rd. in San Luis Obispo.

The event starts at 7:30 a.m. and there will also be a lunch and/or dinner guests can purchase.

For $50, participants will get a 50 round, 10 station shooting match.

Organizers said you can shoot any long gun at the event and don't have to be an expert shooter to attend the match.

If you are not interested in shooting, but still would like to contribute, additional donations can be made for the silent auction or buy purchasing a meal ticket.

Brent Grillo, a safety officer at the SLOSA, came up with the fundraising idea while working as a gun instructor.
