Central Coast native Martha Saulsbury turned 100-years-old on Monday.

Martha was born on Jan. 18, 1921, in the San Marcos pass area between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez, according to family member Helen Saulsbury.

Over the weekend Martha and her family marked the centennial birthday in true pandemic fashion with a zoom party.

Family members sang her happy birthday over the virtual call and Martha blew out birthday cake candles saying "100".

Martha is married to George and they have three kids together. In total, Martha now has 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Martha attributes her long life to being calm, contented, and happy, no matter the circumstances.

According to Helen, Martha is well known in this area for her artwork, paintings and church murals.
