Residents of Marian Regional Medical Center's Marian Extended Care Center (MECC) enjoyed a Zoom concert from a Central Coast artist.
The artist, Conner Cherland played during the care center's 'birthday bash' celebration, where monthly birthdays are usually celebrated with a gathering.
The birthday celebrations for the month of June had to be held virtually as MECC works to follow all CDC and Public Health Department guidelines to successfully keep the patients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The residents were incredibly grateful for the opportunity to use their iPads to enjoy Conner Cherland's musical talent and as a form of interaction," says Debbie Mockler-Young, Senior Director, Marian Extended Care Center. "They were excited to sing along and share the experience with others, and this serves as another form of healing for them."
Patients were able to make song requests ahead of the concert, and looked forward to the entertainment.
