Children in Santa Maria practiced their reading skills with some furry friends.
Kids from ages six to twelve participated in the "Paw to Reads" event on Monday
"Love on a Leash" brought six therapy dogs to the Santa Maria Public Library for the kids to read to.
Organizers say this is a great way for kids to gain confidence in reading out loud.
