The California Highway Patrol is seeking witnesses to a crash Friday morning that injured a Templeton man.

It happened on southbound Highway 101 south of San Anselmo Road in Atascadero at about 9:23 a.m.

Officers say the 31-year-old was on his motorcycle “at a high rate of speed” when he experienced a “high-speed wobble.”

The motorcyclist lost control and was ejected, landing in the fast lane of the highway, according to CHP.

He was hospitalized with reported major injuries.

No other vehicles were said to be involved and CHP says drugs, alcohol or distracted driving are not considered to be contributing factors.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call CHP’s Templeton office at (805) 434-1822 or (805) 593-3333 if after normal business hours.
