The City of San Luis Obispo will begin checking parking meters once again at the end of July.
The city stopped parking meter charges in mid-March when the COVID-19 pandemic began. The city has lost a big chunk of change due to this and has been forced to make cuts elsewhere.
The city made the announcement on their website saying that on July 27, they will begin charging for parking at all 30-minute and 2-hour meters. 10-hour meters will still be free for use.
The city says parking garages are still free of charge for daytime use.
