The City of Santa Maria is sponsoring two drive-in holiday bingo events at the Elwin Mussell Senior Center.
The first event was Friday morning.
Community members ages 50 and up could compete for free and win a variety of festive holiday prizes.
"Today I won a Christmas blanket in this bag, and there's little gift cards for door prize,” said Rita Everling from Santa Maria.
“I think it’s a great idea, I really do, especially for us seniors that, you know, have a hard time getting out and going anywhere. It's just a fun thing to do,” said Fran Sobisky from Santa Maria.
The second bingo event is Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and it's open to all ages.
These events are designed to encourage residents to safely celebrate the holiday season.
