The City of San Luis Obispo is offering residents a chance to win a $20 gift card through its new "Buy Local Bonus" program.
To qualify, participants need to spend $100 at at least one San Luis Obispo business.
Receipts need to be readable and itemized with the date, name of the business and the total.
City officials say taxes, delivery fees and shipping are not counted in the total purchase.
If you own a local business in retail, fitness or personal care-- the city will buy up to $500 in gift cards from you.
To qualify, the business must:
- be a local retail, restaurant, fitness or personal service business in the City of SLO
- hold a current San Luis Obispo City business license
- have a physical location or storefront within City limits
- have the ability to sell and redeem gift cards
Qualifying businesses will be contacted by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.
