Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) will be hosting a community meeting Thursday night.
The meeting will inform community members about enrollment, community benefits, California's Community Choice Energy Model and what to expect leading up to the January 1, 2020 launch of service.
MCPB provides 100 percent carbon free electricity with a rate savings related to PG&E.
In October 2018, San Luis Obispo City Council committed to joining MBCP.
MBCP also serves the city of Morro Bay.
The community meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 14 at the San Luis Obispo City Hall Council Chambers from 6 p.m. To 8 p.m.
