Nearly 150 community members gathered to pray for law enforcement officers in Paso Robles.
The event, called "Back the Blue with Prayer", took place at the corner of Park St. and 10th St. near the Paso Robles Police Department.
Those in attendance say they want to bless the police officers in the county and across the country as many others call for the defunding of police.
People who support defunding the police say the funds can be reallocated to non-policing forms of public safety and community support, such as social services, housing, education and healthcare.
