Birthday parties and other large gatherings are put on hold during the shelter-at-home order, but one community found a way to surprise a young Orcutt girl for her special day.
Laci Miller turned 14 years old Sunday, March 29th, but due to social distancing guidelines, she wasn't able to have a traditional birthday party with her friends and family.
Instead, her loved ones held a surprise birthday parade for Laci.
Laci said her grandma came up with the idea to celebrate her birthday this way.
"Just live your life and have fun with it. just forgive and love," said Laci Miller, the birthday girl.
While she wasn't expecting to celebrate her birthday like this, she said it was fun to see her family, people from her church and all her friends.
