The City of Santa Maria is continuing work on an all-way stop at the intersection of Union Valley Parkway and California Boulevard.
Drivers are being advised of a detour taking place on Monday, Jan. 20th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the installation of signs and pavement markings.
City officials say travel lanes on Union Valley Parkway heading towards the intersection will be detoured at the intersections of Union Valley Parkway with Blosser Road and Foxenwood Lane.
Changeable Message Board Signs will be posted at the intersection this weekend to inform motorists of the detours.
Motorists may experience delays during construction and city staff recommend that drivers obey all temporary construction signs and lane closures and reduce driving speeds in construction areas.
