Flights from San Luis Obispo to Las Vegas are coming to an end, at least for now.

The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport announced Wednesday that Contour Airlines is suspending its service at the airport as of March 30 due to “unprecedented disruption to air travel brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The airline began offering four flights a week to Las Vegas last October.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, many casinos and hotels in Las Vegas have closed temporarily.

“We firmly believe in the San Luis Obispo market and fully intend to resume service when public health and economic conditions allow us to do so,” Contour Airlines CEO Matthew Chaifetz said in a press release.

The San Luis Obispo airport still offers flights to Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and starting in June, Portland.
