The County of San Luis Obispo Public Health Department says it is currently experiencing technical difficulties with its Phone Assistance Center.
According to the department's Twitter page, health officials are "working on resolving the issue."
The public health department says callers may be able to reach an operator.
Health officials did not say when they anticipate to have their phone lines fixed.
