The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department hosted a Valentine's Day dance on Friday.
Professional dancers lead Friday's dance social with demonstrations, lessons and dance tips.
"We just wanted to share what we love to do on a day of love and we're gonna be teaching jitter bug swing dance,” said dance instructor Irene Klein-Bauer.
The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department organizes regular community events.
