Crashes reported across Central Coast as rain continues to fall

The California Highway Patrol was responding to reports of several crashes Monday morning as rain continues to fall across the Central Coast.

As of 8:25 a.m., five incidents were reported between San Luis Obispo and Lompoc.

The first reportedly happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near the Higuera Street offramp and involved and pickup truck that had gone off the road.

Shortly before 8 a.m., a vehicle was said to be disabled in the center divider of northbound Highway 101 near the Avila Beach Drive offramp. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle also went off the road in the same area of Highway 101 in the southbound lanes about 15 minutes later.

In Santa Barbara County, emergency crews were responding to reports of a vehicle that had gone into a ditch on Harris Grade Road near Burton Mesa Boulevard near Lompoc.

Ambulances were requested at three of the four scenes.
