Overnight construction crews are making good progress on a major road resurfacing project on S. Broad St. just past the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport.
Crews are grinding the roadway down to repave the street with new material.
Other improvements being made to the area include ADA-accessible curb corner ramps, a wider buffer for bike lanes and new roadway striping.
Work will continue into early next week during the overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Access to the airport will remain open throughout the entire project.
The project is being funded by the Local Revenue Measure, which is the City of San Luis Obispo’s one-half percent sales tax that provides funding for maintenance projects.
