Fire crews responded to a spill at an oil facility in Santa Maria Friday afternoon.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded at around 1:15 p.m. to the Las Flores facility run by Hvi Cat Canyon, Inc. on the 6100 block of Dominion Road.

Officials say firefighters were able to immediately contain the leak of five barrels of light crude oil from an oil storage tank.

No wildlife or waterways were impacted, officials said.

Fire crews along with oil and gas investigators and inspectors remained on scene into the late afternoon while the spill was being cleaned up.

No other information was immediately available.
