The Danish Care Center, a nursing facility in Atascadero operated by Compass Health Inc., said they tested all of their residents for coronavirus, which resulted in no further cases being identified.

The company said in a press release that a member of their nursing clinical team tested positive for COVID-19 on May 20, and then the Center underwent a series of testing.

As of June 4, the Center was successfully clear, according to the press release.

Compass Health Inc. said they used the same process at the Vineyard Hills Health Center when an employee tested positive for coronavirus in April.

In the press release, the company said they will continue to actively screen both employees and residents.

"It is our hope that this will catch any asymptomatic COVID-19 cases that may be undetected and curb the potential spread of the virus in our vulnerable population," CEO Darren Smith said in the press release. "The staff and employees of Compass Health are an exemplary group of caregivers and are dedicated to the safety of the residents in our community.”
