The Woods Humane Society's Daphne Fahsing Spay/Neuter Clinic in Atascadero just surpassed its one year anniversary.

The first surgeries at the clinic started in Nov. 2018. The clinic has performed 2,932 spay/neuter surgeries for north county dogs and cast over the past 12 months. The Wood’s Humane Society says the goal was to reach 2.500 surgeries by the first year and as of last week, had done 2,932.

They were then hoping to hit 3,000 by Nov. 5.

The low-cost clinic primarily serves pet owners from Atascadero to Paso Robles, but can be used by anyone in Woods North County. It also provides services to communities and feral cats in collaboration with Paws Cause and The Feline Network of the Central Coast. During the fourth Saturday of every month, the clinic also offers low-cost vaccination clinics.
