One westbound lane of Stowell Road in Santa Maria will be closed through part of Friday.
The City says the closure between Bradley Road and Concepcion Avenue is due to emergency gas line replacement by SoCalGas.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes or expect delays if driving in the area until around noon Friday.
Businesses in the area are still open.
