UPDATE (12:22 p.m.) - Caltrans reports that all lanes of Highway 101 near Casitas Pass Rd. in Carpinteria are now open.

(8:45 a.m.) - Drivers heading through the Carpinteria area on Highway 101 Friday morning should plan for some delays.
Caltrans says emergency highway repairs have closed one northbound lane near Casitas Pass Road.
Asphalt is being brought in so a pothole can be repaired.
Caltrans says drivers should expect congestion in the area until the lane reopens around 11 a.m.
