Deputies arrest two men in narcotics investigation in Lompoc

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two men following a narcotics investigation in Lompoc.

According to a press release, sheriff's deputies served a search warrant on the 400 block of Coronado Drive on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The county's Special Investigation Unit along with the Cannabis Compliance Team were investigating narcotics sales and illegal cannabis transportation, processing, and sales.

Deputies say two men were arrested following a car stop related to the investigation. Kenneth H. Frederick, 51, of Lompoc, and John T. Hamilton, 34, of Lompoc, were taken into custody.

During the search, detectives say they found methamphetamine, handgun ammunition, body armor, several pounds of dried and processed marijuana, packaging materials and items of evidence indicative of illegal and undocumented sales. They also reportedly found $30,000 in cash.

Frederick and Hamilton were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail facing numerous charges. Frederick is being held on $250,000 bail. Hamilton is being held on $20,000 bail.
