Detectives investigating suspects in Oceano homicide

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says investigators have identified suspects in an April homicide in Oceano.

Details about those suspects are not being released at this time, as sheriff's officials say it is still an active investigation.

However, they say detectives are comparing forensic evidence collected from the crime scene to the suspects.

Daniel Fuentes Sr., 41, was shot and killed just after midnight on April 3, 2019. Sheriff's officials say he died at a neighbor's home in the 2200 block of Beach St. after knocking on the door and asking for help.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information about this case to call detectives at (805) 781-4500. Anonymous tips can be made by contacting Crime Stoppers at (805) 549-STOP.
