Throughout the night and into the early morning hours police had lanes blocked in the area as PG&E crews worked to clear the downed power pole from the road.
There were no immediate reports of a large power outage in the area.
The road closures in the area lasted for approximately 12 hours and lead to traffic delays along Highway 101 northbound south of the Los Osos Valley Road off-ramp during the morning commute.
Police say PG&E crews were doing maintenance in the area when the call came in. The exact cause of the down power pole is unknown at this time. KSBY reached out to PG&E and is waiting to hear back.
