A driver was hospitalized after crashing into a house on prison property in Lompoc Thursday.
Prison officials tell KSBY it happened at about 9 a.m. when the driver of a private vehicle crashed into a home located across the street from the prison in an area meant for staff housing.
The driver was reportedly authorized to be on the property and was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
No prison staff or inmates were involved.
The Bureau of Prisons is handling the investigation.
KSBY News was not allowed to film near the scene of the crash.
