Driver flees after hitting person in Arroyo Grande intersection, police say

Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a person in Arroyo Grande Wednesday morning.

Arroyo Grande police say it happened at about 6:30 a.m. in the intersection of E. Grand Avenue and El Camino Real.


Officers say after hitting the victim, the driver took off and was last seen heading eastbound on East Grand Avenue.

The vehicle is described as a white, newer model (2014-2020) Toyota car or something similar, according to police, who add it will likely have damage to the front driver’s side area.

The victim, who police say suffered major injuries, described the driver as a woman with blonde hair, possibly in her mid-20s to early 30s.
