Drivers in Arroyo Grande can expect traffic delays starting Monday.
East Cherry Avenue from Traffic Way to Waller Street will be closed to eastbound traffic all next week.
Crews will be constructing and paving the south side of East Cherry Avenue.
Construction is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Officials are asking drivers to be patient while they are driving in the area.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted to Allen Street and south on Garden Street to E. Cherry Avenue.
Westbound traffic will remain open as usual.
The work is expected to be completed in one week.
However, depending on weather and other potential issues, the city says it is possible construction could continue to Saturday, November 16th.
The following week, November 18th to November 22nd, both east and west bound traffic on E. Cherry Avenue will be shifted to the south side to complete the paving project.
