Two people were arrested Wednesday after San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's officials served a narcotics-related search warrant at a home in Cayucos.

The sheriff's office says investigators found methamphetamine, scales, baggies, and other evidence of drug sales inside the home in the 3400 block of Ocean Blvd.

Sheriff's officials say they also found a loaded firearm, burglary tools, suspected stolen property, and a packaged substance believed to be fentanyl.

Derek Atkins, 30, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, and possession of burglary tools.

Carrie Maggard, 39, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of burglary tools.

Sheriff's officials say investigators are trying to locate the owners of the stolen property.
