The El Camino Homeless Organization, or ECHO is fundraising a little differently for it's ninth annual "Long Walk Home" event.

ECHO residents and staff marched from the ECHO campus to Atascadero's landmark rotunda building in the Sunken Gardens.

After the march, community members picked up a barbecue meal at a drive-thru fundraiser.

The President and CEO of ECHO, Wendy Lewis, says all proceeds will benefit the organization's campus in Atascadero and its services.

Lewis says ECHO's goal is to raise $40,000 by the end of the year to support community members facing homelessness.
