Hundreds of elementary school students explored Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria on Friday and got a sneak peek at different career paths.

The kids learned about everything from geology to dancing at 13 different workshops.

Organizers demonstrated what it would be like to work in engineering, music, and even animation.

"We want this to be a good experience and we want them to feel comfortable so we encourage them to ask questions and get involved," said Rebecca Jacobs, Career Readiness Specialist at Allan Hancock College. "Everything is hands-on with Bulldog Bound and that's really important, that's where most of their learning comes from is just being able to see things and touch things and do things themselves."

Approximately 400 fifth and sixth grade students who participated in the educational event.
