The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County is hosting its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser at the Santa Maria Fairpark on Wednesday.
For a $25 ticket, attendees receive a meal of soup and bread made by local chefs and served in a handmade ceramic bowl.
There are three seatings: 11 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1 p.m.; however, tickets are selling out fast and are only available for the 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. seatings. Tickets can be purchased online until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and at the door on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
The event will also include a raffle that includes local wines, restaurant and entertainment certificates, jewelry, and other items. A five-pack of raffle tickets is $5 and a 25-pack is $20.
The Foodbank says that for every $1 donated, they can provide eight healthy meals to people in need in Santa Barbara County.
