The shelter-at-home order issued by San Luis Obispo County is intended to slow the spread of Covid-19 by ensuring people self-quarantine in their residences. It became effective March 19 and will remain in effect until April 17. The order will be reevaluated every 14 days to assess whether it needs to continue.

Essential services will continue to be provided throughout the duration of the order.

County offices are open but most public counters will be closed while the order is in place. Residents are being encouraged to access services online or over the phone.
