Santa Barbara County Fire responded to reports of a fatal motorcycle crash Thursday night.
The crash happened at around 7 p.m. on the 6300 block of Dominion Road in the Santa Maria Valley.
First responders on scene reported a single motorcyclist down, unconscious and not breathing. The driver was pronounced dead on scene after life saving efforts were performed.
Fire officials say it is unknown if the cause of death was due to trauma from the crash, or a prior medical emergency.
An investigation is underway.

On Thursday night, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office reported a fatal motorcycle crash on the 6300 block of Dominion Road in Santa Maria at 7:09 p.m.
The Sheriff's office has only reported the single fatality as of now.
