Two people were injured in a crash on Highway 41 East just south of the Kern County line Friday afternoon.
It happened at about 12:40 p.m.
A single vehicle was reported off the roadway and on fire with heavy smoke in the area, prompting the highway to be shut down.
The two patients sustained moderate to major injuries, according to CAL FIRE SLO.
The roadway was reopened as of 2:36 p.m.
