Forward spread of a vegetation fire was stopped by firefighters Sunday night in Paso Robles.
It broke out around 9:15 p.m. in the area of Sulphur Spring Road and Highway 101 near the wastewater plant.
CAL FIIRE SLO says the fire burned half an acre in the river bottom.
Crews were mopping up and were expecting to clear the scene by midnight.
