A fire that broke out Thursday morning in California Valley is reportedly growing.
CAL FIRE first announced aircraft responding to the quarter-acre grass fire on Gale Road across from Glade Trail had been canceled and forward progress stopped, but officials tell KSBY the wind picked up and the fire had burned three acres as of 10:22 a.m.
Aircraft were requested back at the scene and additional engines were on their way to help fight the fire, which officials say has the potential to now burn between five and 10 acres.
No other information was immediately available.
