The latest class of firefighter cadets graduated from Allan Hancock College's Fire Academy on Thursday.
A ceremony was held at the college's Public Safety Training Complex in Lompoc.
It marked the end of the 18-week academy during which the 21 cadets participated in 624 hours of classroom and field instruction.
The cadets demonstrated the skills they learned during the academy before Thursday's ceremony, running fire hoses, dousing burning cars and extricating "victims" from vehicle wrecks.
One of the cadets, Cheyenne Braun, has already been hired by the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
