Some firefighters from Santa Barbara County were honored Wednesday night during the annual Firefighters' Appreciation Night.
The event took place at the Elks Lodge in Santa Maria.
The following people were awarded:
- Firefighter Jacob Nuno with the Guadalupe Fire Dept.
- Engineer/paramedic Clint Reif with the Santa Barbara Co. Fire Dept.
- Fire Chief Mark Farias with Vandenberg Air Force Base
- Fire Captain James Clayton with the Santa Maria Fire Dept.
- Hot Shot Phil Hernandez with the U.S. Forest Service
It's the 43rd year for the event.
