Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a fatal crash Friday morning in the Santa Ynez Valley.
The crash happened at around 9:12 a.m. on Highway 246 and Alamo Pintado in Solvang.
First responders responded to the head-on crash and found two patients on scene. One person suffered minor injuries and the other was pronounced dead on scene. Heavy extrication was required.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and CHP says a full closure of Hwy 246 is in place as crews work to clear the scene.
