Firefighters are asking people to avoid the 1400 block of E. Main Street/Highway 166 in Santa Maria due to a structure fire.
As of 4:55 p.m. Monday, Santa Maria City Fire crews expected to remain on scene for another 1-2 hours.
City officials say no injuries have been reported and damage was contained to a second-floor utility room.
No other information was immediately available.
