Highway 1 is closed near Guadalupe due to standing water in the roadway.
According to Caltrans, the closure was put into place on Thursday afternoon, starting one mile north of Guadalupe. The closure affects both directions of the highway in the area.
Caltrans states the road will remain closed overnight.
Crews will assess the road Friday morning to determine whether it’s safe for it to reopen
