A Santa Barbara County real estate brokerage group dropped off what they estimate to be $15,000 in food donations to the Food Banks of Santa Barbara Monday.
They also donated another $3,500 worth of food at the Santa Maria warehouse.
The donations will be added to another 2,000 pounds of food brought in during KSBY's Season of Hope campaign.
"I am honestly probably close to tears a lot of times because of what people did. The outpouring was over the top, and I think it made a lot of people during this time feel very good about what they did,” said Jolyn Bardi, owner of Bardi and Associates Real Estate.
Bardi decided to arrange a donation drop off in Orcutt after seeing people lined up for miles in their cars trying to get food.
She notes the new owners of Old Town Market gave about $10,000 worth of food.
